Swing Gate Operators

From in ground, pad mounted or hinge post mounted; for residential, community, commercial and industrial applications, we have the swing gate operator that is right for your needs.

Swing gate operators are used when the gate (or two gates) opens inward or outward, swinging through the traffic lane. This type of application is the most widely used, as it provides economy and optimum space utilization when there is insufficient room to slide the entire gate out of the traffic lane.

Our lines of Swing Gate Operators range from light to heavy-duty. All of the operators we provide utilize solid state electronic control circuitry. In addition to simplifying maintenance and service, electronic control circuitry allows for a variety of operating modes and features, all selected through simple programming of the control board.

The key factors that determine the specific model used begin with the size of the traffic lane, the anticipated number of open/close cycles and the type of traffic expected to use the gate (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.). Another key concern is the appearance of the gate - do you want the ruggedness of a pad mounted operator or the unobtrusive appearance of a in ground one? Finally and most importantly, what is the budget for the installation and can we match that budget to the model indicated by these other factors? If not, what alternatives are there to meet your budget and still achieve most, if not all, of what you hope the system will accomplish?

Our job is to help you sort through these many alternatives to select the best operator for your application.

Slide Gate Operators

For residential, community, commercial and industrial applications; chain, hydraulic or rack & pinion drive, we have the operator that is right for your needs.

Slide gate operators are used when there is limited space behind the gate line of the secured facility, so that the gate runs parallel to the fence or wall and perpendicular to the traffic lane.

Our lines of Slide Gate Operators range from light to heavy-duty. All of the operators we provide come with solid state electronic control circuitry.

Another key concern is the security provided by the gate - does the customer want the higher security of a rail-style drive or the economy of a chain drive? Finally and most importantly, what is the budget for the installation and can we match that budget to the model indicated by these other factors? If not, what alternatives are there to meet your budget and still achieve most, if not all, of what you hope the system will accomplish?

Barrier Gates

Electronic Gate Systems, Inc. Barrier Gates provide traffic control at an affordable price. From closed community, governmental, commercial and industrial applications; for stand-alone or integrated installations, we have the barrier gate that is right for your needs.

When high speed, frequent access is essential, a barrier style operator can be utilized. Whether used in residential communities, airports, parking lots or office buildings, barrier gates prevent vehicles from entering without proper authorization - efficiently managing entry without hampering busy traffic flow. Barrier gates provide cost-effective control without the expense of decorative gates and a more compact installation than decorative gates.

Barrier gates are typically used as a single arm controlling a lane of traffic or, for a more secure system, barrier gates can be integrated with a slide or swing operator to prevent additional cars from entering a specified area prior to the previous car leaving. Our Barrier Gates range from light to heavy-duty depending on the anticipated number of open/close cycles and the type of traffic expected to use the gate (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.). Barrier gates can cover standard 10' to 15' lanes or, by utilizing "wishbone" style arms (like those at railroad crossings), can be extended to cover lanes up to 25' wide.

All of the barrier gates we provide come with solid state electronic control circuitry. In addition to simplifying maintenance and service, electronic control circuitry allows for a variety of operating modes and features, all selected through simple programming of the control board.

Our job is to help you sort through these many alternatives to select the best operator for your application.

Access Control Systems (see access controls page)

From stand-alone to computer-linked; for single residences, closed or apartment communities, commercial or industrial applications, we have the access control system that is right for your needs.

Whether self-contained, stand-alone units or as part of a computer-linked system, all of our access control systems are designed with solid-state, digital technology, vandal resistant housings, easy to use "readers", secure local or remote communications busses and intuitive programming methods. Multiple device technologies allow you to design the optimum system for your needs, both in terms of security and cost.

Systems can be used for vehicular as well as pedestrian access, either using the same device technology or mixing these technologies to meet your needs. One system can control access to the property, parking areas, buildings and rooms and amenities, allowing simplified management of the total property.

Multi-door/gate systems can provide access control for over 100 access points and up to 65,000 card holders. Most systems offer the flexibility to use coded cards, bar code labels, radio transmitter or digital PIN code technologies; can mix technologies within the same access control system and include a transaction buffer to store several days of access system transactions. Pre-defined and custom reports are also included in most systems.

Our computer-linked systems employ user-friendly, Windows compatible software that simplifies programming and transaction analysis and are programmed by modem or direct communication. Multiple security levels, each with programmable time zones and anti-passback meet almost any security need. Video and alarm monitoring and annunciation capabilities can further enhance security. Built-in digital I.D. imaging of card holders, programmable elevator floor access control and parking facility management with space counting, lot full control, reserved space allocation and revenue controls including fee billing can also be added.

Telephone Entry Systems

From stand-alone to computer-linked; for single residences, closed residential or apartment communities, commercial and industrial applications, we have the telephone entry system that is right for your needs.

Gated communities, commercial buildings, manufacturing plants, high-end residential homes, apartment and condominium buildings all need an easy way to manage the flow of traffic in, around, and through their premises. Systems are needed to provide for both resident/employee access control and visitor access into the secured facilities. A telephone entry unit is often employed for these purposes.

All of our Telephone Entry Systems are designed with vandal resistant housings, easy to reach buttons, a brightly-lit LCD display visible day and night and in direct sunlight, clear voice communications, tone dialing and long distance telephone dialing. Telephone entry systems can provide service for up to 3000 residents.

Full duplex circuitry provides the same communication service as the local Telephone Company. Multiple area codes allow the system to work in areas requiring 10 and 11-digit dialing. Directory codes can be used for resident access and can be programmed to numbers (from 1 to 4 digits) of your choice. Programming the unit can be done remotely using a PC and internet connection and/or modem or locally via the LCD display and telephone keypad.

Emergency Vehicle Access Systems

Once the vehicle entry roads and facility doors have been secured with an access control system, a method for emergency personnel and vehicle access must be provided by law. The exact system is usually specified by municipal and other local authorities, which leads to a wide variety of these systems being specified and installed. At Electronic Gate Systems, Inc, we monitor these local requirements and can provide, install and maintain the exact system needed in your location.

Pedestrian Turnstiles and Gate & Door Locks

Physical access control is a matter of controlling who, where and when within an area. An access control system determines who is allowed to enter or exit, where they may enter or exit and when they can enter or exit. Historically this was partially accomplished through keys and locks. When a door is locked only someone with a key can enter through the door depending on how the lock is configured.

Mechanical locks and keys do not allow restriction of the key holder to specific times or dates. Mechanical locks and keys do not provide records of the key used on any specific door and the keys can be easily copied or transferred to an unauthorized person. When a mechanical key is lost or the key holder is no longer authorized to use the protected area, the locks must be re-keyed.

This is where electric locking devices such as door strike and door magnets come in. By using an electric locking device, we can "tie" that door or gate into an electronic access control system to achieve the control of the facilities desired.

EGS Ped GateAlong with the vehicular entry, Electronic Gate Systems, Inc. also provides systems to control pedestrian access control. Whether integrated into a total community or facility access control system or stand alone, we offer the same wide variety of quality pedestrian turnstiles and gate and door locking products to provide for complete and flexible total facility access control.

Often, there is an access control system in existence for the vehicle gates and there is a need to control other common areas of the community or facility. Rather than install separate systems, we can expand the vehicle access system into these areas using electric locks or turnstiles.

All of the electric locks and turnstiles we provide come with solid state electronic control circuitry. In addition to simplifying maintenance and service, electronic control circuitry allows for a variety of operating modes and features, all selected through simple programming of the access control system.

Our job is to help you sort through these many alternatives to select the best pedestrian controls for your application.
